(Question From Paul, Australia )
Hi Coach,
Ive been toying with the idea of using a whiteboard before, during and after matches. Do you use one and if so what type of messages would you use to get your message across.
Cheers
Paul
Hi Paul, yes I do use a whiteboard, it’s in the dressing room. We do pre-game planning on it, collating information about the opposition and laying out our game plan. We look at how to put our strengths against their weaknesses.
We break down what our performance targets are for sessions and key stages of the game. I haven’t used a little white board during a game as we get updates from our game analyst and I, as Coach can see the game analysis on a laptop if I need it.
I do write up performance targets that I have elicited from the team and we put these up in the dressing room to check our progress against our gaols.
Best wishes Coach
