Hi Coach,I’m 19, number 4 right handed batsman in my team at university. I’m 6ft and I revolve my innings mostly on taking singles, doubles and finding gaps for boundaries, I’m not a long hitter of the ball.
My problem when it comes to quicks is whenever the ball pitches short on off stump or a little outside it and is angled in towards me, I just get stuck in the crease and miss out on punishing a bad ball. I want to be able to pull and hook such balls effectively. How do I prepare myself to play such shots both from a technical aspect and a psychological aspect?
Secondly, my footwork in general is a bit slow and I fail to get in good positions to play strokes, any general advice on improving my stance and making it more reactive?
Regards
Hussam
